Braised Chicken Feet

Ingredients
300g of chicken feet
Mushrooms (Fragrant mushroom or flower mushroom, as desired)
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 thumb size ginger – sliced into thin pieces
Chew Kee Traditional Braised Sauce
How to cook
Step 1
Wash and pre-soak mushrooms one hour before cooking.
Step 2
Chop off the nails on feet, clean thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 3
On medium flame, heat oil in a pot with see-through lid. Add chicken feet in small batches into the oil and cover immediately.
Step 4
Fry for 5 minutes or till the feet turns brown and stops splattering.
Step 5
Turn off fire and wait for 1 minute before opening the lid.
Step 6
Remove chicken feet from oil and soak in a bowl of cold water for 1 hour.
Step 7
Drain the chicken feet and set them aside.
Step 8
Heat up oil on medium flame and add garlic and ginger frying till the garlic turns brown.
Step 9
Add in mushrooms and cook for two minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 10
Add in Chew Kee Traditional Braised Sauce and chicken feet.
Step 11
When it comes to a rolling boil, turn the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
Step 12
Serve and top with scallions.
